The New Herb That Works
Very Effectively!
In
the past the women was usually blamed when a couple couldn't have a child. The investigation for
infertility began and ended with evaluation of the women alone. Thus, women
were often subjected to a D & C, laparoscopy etc. only to be told at the end of
it all that everything was normal. It was not uncommon, in fact, for a man to
divorce not one, but several wives, under the mistaken (and chauvinistic) belief
that she alone was responsible for the inability to bear children. Needless to
say such men did not realize that their infertility was the cause of the
inability to produce children.
To
be infertile means to be unable to have children. From a medical standpoint, a
couple is considered to be infertile if there has been no pregnancy after one -
two years of unprotected sexual intercourse. For the fertility process to
proceed smoothly, both the man and the women should be basically healthy and
normal.
Unfortunately, this
aspect of conception is not known to many people. Traditionally it is the women
who is usually blamed when a couple can't have a child. The investigation for
infertility begins and ends with evaluation of the women alone. Thus, a women is
often subjected to a D & C, laparoscopy etc. only to be told at the end of
it all that everything is normal. It is not uncommon, in fact, for a man to even
divorce, not one but several wives under the mistaken (and chauvinistic) belief
that she alone is responsible for the inability to bear children. Needless to
say such men do not have children even after several marriages!
WHAT
PERCENTAGE OF MEN ARE INFERTILE?
Approximately 15-25%
of most cohabiting couples are infertile. Of these, in and up to 50% percent of
cases it is the male factor or the husband who is responsible for the
infertility according to medical research and medical experience. Doctor's have
reported this fact, time and time again.
This means that
nearly 7.5% to 10% of all men in the productive age group are infertile i.e.
incapable of fathering children. This, by any ruler, is a stupendous figure but
one that very few people know about.
WHAT'S
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INFERTILITY & IMPOTENCE? It
is important to note that infertility and impotence are quite different
entities. Failure to discern between the differences of the two is a needless
cause of frustration, anxiety, embarrassment and stigma that goes with the
latter term of impotence.
Impotence means an
inability to attain or sustain an erection for satisfactory sexual intercourse to
take place. The term has no bearing whatsoever on the fertility status of the
male. It is thus possible for a totally impotent man to be potentially fertile.
Artificial insemination can be successful by using the sperm of an impotent
male.
Infertility, on the
other hand, means an inability to produce children. This usually results from
the husband's semen being infertile or sob-fertile. Most infertile men are
perfectly normal in terms of potency and have very satisfactory sexual relations
with their partners.
WHAT
CAUSES MALE INFERTILITY?
A
number of clinical conditions and diseases can be responsible for male
infertility such as mumps, smallpox, viral infections, sexually transmitted
diseases, testicular injury, environmental toxins, drugs, alcohol, tobacco,
hormonal imbalance, vasectomy, testicular obstruction, spinal cord lesions,
genetics, cystic fibrosis, general sexual dysfunction, and perhaps
many more causes. Sometimes, in spite of the most meticulous search, no obvious
cause can be found for the infertility. A first area to look at is hormonal imbalance,
resulting from improper diet and drug use. The herb Maca has had extremely
remarkable results world wide with male and female infertility and male
impotence and is definitely worth
taking for three to six months. Dosage should be a minimum of 3-4 capsules twice
daily of 550 mg each, or 1-2 teaspoons daily of maca powder (6 capsules is
equivalent to 1 teaspoon). Because there are no known side effects, it is most
beneficial to take maca abundantly to assure greater success. It is common for
the males sperm count to increase in the millions! To learn more about

Treatment of male
infertility is difficult and sometimes frustrating. Immediate results are hard
to produce and it is important to be persistent with therapy.
HOW
IS INFERTILITY DIAGNOSED?
An
initial evaluation can be performed by a primary care physician. The doctor will
check for obvious hormonal or reproductive disorders that could possibly explain
the infertility, such as an excess or deficiency of thyroid hormone, an excess
of prolactin (a hormone involved in regulating menses), or an excess of
androgens (hormones that stimulate male sexual characteristics) The physician
will look for excessive facial or body hair and other symptoms of
hyperandrogenism, such as obesity, acne and menstrual irregularities.
A pelvic examination
will check for signs of endometriosis, uterine fibroids, inflammation of the
mucus membrane or other cervical abnormalities, cysts or other growths, and
congenital abnormalities. After an initial evaluation, the couple will be
referred to a reproductive endocrinologist, (an infertility specialist). Both
partners will be evaluated by a specialized medical team that includes the
physician, scientists, nurses, technicians and other staff members.
Specialists will use
a variety of tests to diagnose the cause of infertility such as hormone testing,
sperm testing, ovulation tests, hysterosalpingogram, laparoscopy and
hysteroscopy to determine the cause or source of the infertility factor.
FEMALE
INFERTILITY Infertility
in a women can be caused by a variety of medical conditions. Problems include
failure to ovulate, hormonal imbalances that leave the uterine lining unprepared
for implantation of the embryo, abnormalities of the uterus, scar tissue from
infections in the fallopian tubes or on the ovaries or the uterus, inadequate
cervical mucus, production of anti-sperm antibodies, or habitual miscarriage.
Endometriosis, uterine fibroids, or uterine polyps in a woman also can inhibit
conception and implantation.
How
Effective is MACA For Fertility ?
MACA has been known to
increase a women's ability to conceive rather dramatically. This happens
because of MACA's ability to promote the production of the Luteneinizing Hormone
(LH). The LH causes ovulation. MACA has also been shown to increase sperm counts
in men. Research studies on animals were conducted by Dr. Gloria Chacon de
Popovici and Dr. Freddy Madrid Gironda with extremely successful results in
almost all cases! (These studies will be published sometime later on this year.) Read
